This began with LOLA canine couture, a finely crafted line of coats and dresses. The line was originally created for use in photo shoots at shelters to give the dogs charmed adoption photos and a better chance at a new life. The plan was to expand the line and with that, the rescue efforts. But it wasn't really doing that.
Next Came LOLA-DOG, a bigger bolder way to get the message out. It's wearable art for your dog. The collection is made up of commissioned work, intended to inspire unexpected delight. It will premiere this March in Palms Springs at Le Chien to benefit the Desert Humane Society.
Fashion Saving Dogs…
Fashion has the power to empower, to magically transform, to reform. Fashion is an instant language, a simple way of saying complicated things. The fashion industry is one of the largest, most influential enterprises in the modern world. It shapes attitudes and social concerns. It can dictate the status, image and perception individuals have about themselves, others and cultural issues. We’re harnessing all that to save dogs.
